Our American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. The LEGION Act (Let Everyone Get Involved In Opportunities for National Service Act), signed by President Donald Trump on July 30, 2019, declares the United States has been in a state of war since Dec. 7, 1941; meaning that the American Legion’s eligibility criteria immediately change from seven war eras to two: April 6, 1917, to Nov. 11, 1918, and Dec. 7, 1941 to a time later determined by the federal government.
No other restrictions to American Legion membership are changed. The declaration also was a way to honor approximately 1,600 U.S. service members who were killed or wounded during previously undeclared periods of war.

Note: Post 11 has been approved by the Liquor Board to close early if there are no customers in the lounge for an hour. This does not apply if there is a function in the Banquet Hall.
